Most people think switching insurance companies means hours on the phone, filling out the same information five times, and hoping you didn’t miss something. It doesn’t have to work that way.
When you work with an independent agency, you’re comparing rates from Progressive Insurance, GEICO car insurance, USAA insurance, Direct Auto Insurance, AAA Insurance, and over 40 other carriers in one conversation. Not five separate calls. Not five different websites. One conversation with someone who knows the San Tan Valley market and what’s actually happening with rates right now.
Arizona homeowners saw insurance premiums jump 62% over five years—the highest increase in the country. San Tan Valley residents aren’t immune to that. If your rate went up $700 or more in the last year, you’re not alone. But you do have options beyond accepting it or spending your weekend calling around.
You get a real comparison. You see what different insurance companies are actually charging for the same coverage. And if your current carrier isn’t competitive anymore, you’re not starting from scratch.
We’re a family-owned independent agency based in Mesa, serving San Tan Valley and the entire Phoenix metro. We’ve built relationships with over 40 insurance companies so you don’t have to.
We’re not tied to one carrier. That means when Progressive Insurance raises rates or USAA changes underwriting guidelines, we’re not scrambling to keep you covered—we’re already looking at what else is available. We’ve been doing this long enough to know that loyalty to one insurance company rarely pays off anymore, especially in Arizona’s current market.
Our team is local, licensed, and available when you need us. Over 930 five-star Google reviews and recognition as Mesa’s “Three Best Rated Insurance Agents” didn’t come from automated emails and offshore call centers. It came from picking up the phone and actually helping people.
You reach out—phone, email, or through the website. We ask about your current coverage, what you’re paying, and whether anything’s changed recently. This takes about ten minutes.
Then we shop your profile across our network of carriers. That includes the names you know—Progressive, GEICO, USAA, Direct Auto, AAA—and plenty you probably don’t. Some of the best rates come from regional carriers that don’t spend millions on advertising.
We come back with real quotes, not estimates. You see what each insurance company is charging for the same coverage. We walk through the differences, answer your questions, and if you want to switch, we handle the paperwork. We’ll even cancel your old policy if you want.
If your rate goes up next year or your situation changes, you call us. We shop it again. That’s the relationship. You’re not locked into one carrier hoping they’ll treat you fairly. You have options every single time.

When we say we work with over 40 insurance companies, that’s not just auto insurance. It’s homeowners, renters, commercial, life, and everything in between. Most people come to us for car insurance or because their homeowners premium doubled, but the process is the same regardless.
San Tan Valley’s rapid growth—nearly 4% year over year—means insurance companies are constantly reevaluating risk in the area. Some carriers love new construction. Others won’t touch certain zip codes. Some offer great rates on auto but terrible rates on home. You won’t know unless you compare.
We represent carriers that specialize in cheap car insurance for good drivers, and carriers that work with high-risk profiles. We have access to USAA for military families, AAA for members, and Direct Auto Insurance for drivers who need SR-22 filing. If you’ve been dropped or non-renewed, we have options for that too.
The goal isn’t to sell you the most coverage or the cheapest policy. It’s to show you what’s available and let you decide what makes sense. You’re the one writing the check every month.
Arizona saw the highest homeowners insurance rate increases in the country over the past five years—62% on average. For auto insurance, it’s a combination of inflation, higher repair costs, and more severe accidents. Insurance companies are paying out more in claims than they used to, and they’re passing that cost to policyholders.
San Tan Valley’s growth is also a factor. More people means more cars, more homes, and more risk concentrated in one area. Some carriers are pulling back entirely. Others are raising rates to offset exposure.
The frustrating part is that not every insurance company is raising rates at the same pace. Progressive might go up 30% while another carrier only goes up 10% for the same coverage. That’s why shopping around matters more now than it did five years ago. Staying with one company out of habit can cost you hundreds or thousands a year.
When you call Progressive Insurance or GEICO directly, you’re only getting their rates. If they’re not competitive, you have to start over with the next company. That’s fine if you have the time and patience, but most people don’t.
An independent agent works with dozens of insurance companies at once. We run your information through multiple carriers and bring back quotes from all of them. It’s faster, and you’re seeing a real comparison instead of guessing whether you’re getting a good deal.
The other difference is what happens after you buy. If you call GEICO car insurance and your rate goes up next year, you’re calling GEICO to ask why. If you work with us and your rate goes up, we’re already shopping it with 40 other carriers to see if we can beat it. You’re not starting from scratch every time.
It depends on your profile and who’s willing to insure you at what price. Insurance companies don’t all use the same formula. GEICO might love your driving record but hate your credit score. USAA might give you a great rate because you’re military, but if you’re not, you can’t even get a quote from them.
We’ve seen people save $50 a month switching from one carrier to another for identical coverage. We’ve also seen situations where someone’s current rate is already the best available. It’s not magic—it’s just access to more options.
The bigger savings usually come from bundling or finding a carrier that specializes in your situation. If you’re a safe driver with a clean record, there are companies that reward that. If you’ve had an accident or a lapse in coverage, there are companies that specialize in non-standard auto insurance. You won’t know unless you compare.
You file the claim with whatever insurance company is covering you at the time of the loss. If you switched to Progressive and you have an accident, you’re filing with Progressive. If you switched to AAA and your house floods, you’re filing with AAA.
The difference is that when you work with an independent agent, we’re involved in the claims process if you need us. We can’t file the claim for you—that’s between you and the carrier—but we can help navigate it, explain what’s covered, and push back if something doesn’t seem right.
A lot of people worry that switching carriers will hurt them if they need to file a claim later. It doesn’t. Your policy is your policy, and the insurance company has to honor it regardless of how you bought it. The advantage of working with us is that if a carrier starts dragging their feet or denying claims unfairly, we know about it. And we can move your business elsewhere when it’s time to renew.
You can shop whatever you want. Some people just need cheaper car insurance. Others want to rebid everything because their homeowners premium went through the roof. It’s your call.
That said, bundling usually saves money. Most insurance companies offer a discount if you have both auto and home with them. Sometimes it’s 10%, sometimes it’s 25%. It depends on the carrier.
We’ll show you both options—what it costs to move just your auto, and what it costs to bundle everything. Sometimes bundling with a new carrier saves you money overall even if the auto rate alone isn’t the cheapest. Other times it makes sense to split policies between two companies. We run the numbers and you decide.
If you’re ready to move, we can have you switched in a day or two. It’s not complicated. We finalize the quote, you approve it, and the new policy goes into effect on whatever date you choose. Most people time it to their current policy’s renewal date to avoid overlap, but you can switch mid-term if the savings justify it.
We handle the paperwork. You’ll need to sign a few documents and provide payment information for the new carrier, but that’s it. If you want us to cancel your old policy, we’ll do that too. You don’t have to call your old insurance company and explain why you’re leaving.
The only thing that slows it down is if you’re financing a vehicle or have a mortgage. Your lender needs proof of insurance, and sometimes that takes an extra day to process. But even then, you’re looking at a few days, not weeks.
