You’re not imagining it. Arizona auto insurance rates jumped 22% in 2024, and if you’ve been with the same company for years, you’re probably paying more than you should. Loyalty doesn’t get rewarded anymore. It gets expensive.
When you work with an independent agency, you’re not stuck with one company’s rates or excuses. You get access to over 40 carriers, which means real options. Progressive, GEICO, Travelers, USAA, AAA, State Farm—we quote them all, then show you what actually fits your situation.
You’re comparing apples to apples, not guessing if you’re covered or hoping your deductible makes sense. And if your rate climbs next year or your company drops you after a claim, we’re already shopping again. That’s the difference between being someone’s customer and being stuck with whoever sold you a policy five years ago.
We’re a family-owned independent agency based right here in the East Valley. We’ve been serving Arizona drivers for nearly a decade, and we’ve built our reputation on doing what bigger companies won’t: picking up the phone, explaining your options clearly, and sticking around when you need us.
We’re not a call center. We’re not offshore. We’re local agents who live and work in the same communities you do, and we understand what Sun Lakes drivers are dealing with—fixed incomes, rate hikes, and an insurance market that’s gotten more expensive and less forgiving.
That’s why we represent over 100 insurance carriers. You get the personal service of a local agency with the buying power of a national broker. And with 930+ five-star Google reviews, we’ve earned the trust of thousands of Arizona families who were tired of being treated like policy numbers.
First, we talk. You tell us what you’re paying now, what you’re covered for, and what’s frustrating you about your current setup. If your rate jumped, if you filed a claim and got burned, if you’re just not sure you’re covered right—we want to know.
Then we quote. We run your information through our carrier network and pull real numbers from companies like Progressive, GEICO, Travelers, USAA, and AAA. Not ballpark estimates. Actual premiums with actual coverage details you can compare side by side.
Once we find the best fit, we handle the switch. That includes canceling your old policy if you want us to, at no cost. You’re not juggling phone calls or wondering if there’s a gap in coverage. We make sure everything transitions cleanly, and once you’re set up, we stay in touch. If your situation changes or rates shift again, we’re already on it.

Cheap car insurance sounds great until you’re sitting in a claims adjuster’s office realizing your liability limit won’t cover the accident. Arizona’s minimum requirement is $25,000 per person, but one emergency room visit averages $15,000 to $25,000. If you hit someone and they’re seriously hurt, you’re personally liable for the rest.
That’s why we don’t just find you the lowest price. We make sure you’re actually protected. Uninsured motorist coverage matters here because nearly one in eight Arizona drivers has no insurance at all. Comprehensive and collision coverage protect your vehicle when things go wrong. And if you’re financing or leasing, your lender’s going to require it anyway.
Sun Lakes drivers also need to think about how they use their car. If you’re only driving locally, your mileage matters. If you’re snowbirding and leaving your car parked for months, there are coverage adjustments that can save you money. If you’ve got a golf cart you’re taking to the course, that’s a separate conversation. We walk through all of it, because the right coverage isn’t one-size-fits-all, and the wrong coverage shows up when it’s too late to fix.
Arizona auto insurance rates increased 22% in 2024, and it’s not just you. The whole state saw premiums climb from around $2,026 to $2,195 on average, with some drivers seeing even steeper jumps depending on their zip code and claims history.
A big part of it is the number of uninsured drivers on the road. About 13% of Arizona drivers have no insurance, which means when they cause an accident, insured drivers end up covering the cost through higher premiums. Add in rising repair costs, more expensive medical bills, and an increase in severe weather events like monsoons and wildfires, and you’ve got a market where rates keep climbing.
If your rate jumped and you haven’t shopped around in a while, you’re likely overpaying. Companies raise rates on long-term customers because they know most people won’t leave. That’s exactly why comparing carriers matters. You might find the same coverage for hundreds less just by looking at what else is out there.
When you go direct to a company like GEICO or Progressive, you’re only seeing their rates and their coverage options. If their price goes up or they drop you after a claim, you’re starting over from scratch with a new company.
When you work with an independent agent, you’re getting quotes from dozens of companies at once. We represent over 40 carriers, so we’re comparing Progressive, GEICO, Travelers, USAA, AAA, State Farm, Allstate, and more in a single conversation. You see the differences in price and coverage side by side, and you’re making a decision based on what’s actually best for your situation, not just what one company is willing to offer.
The other advantage is ongoing support. If your rate increases next year, we’re already shopping for you. If you have a claim, we’re helping you navigate it. If your life changes and your coverage needs to adjust, we’re the ones who call you. You’re not bouncing between companies every time something shifts. You’ve got one agent who’s managing all of it, and that makes a bigger difference than most people realize until they need it.
Arizona’s minimum liability requirement is $25,000 per person for bodily injury, $50,000 per accident, and $15,000 for property damage. That sounds like a lot until you’re in an accident and realize how fast those numbers disappear.
One emergency room visit can cost $15,000 to $25,000. If someone’s seriously injured and needs surgery, rehab, or long-term care, you’re looking at six figures. If your liability limit is too low, you’re personally responsible for the rest, which can mean wage garnishment, liens on your property, or worse.
Most drivers should carry at least $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident in liability coverage. If you own a home or have significant assets, you want even more. Uninsured motorist coverage is just as important because 13% of Arizona drivers are uninsured, and if one of them hits you, your own policy is what covers your medical bills and repairs. We walk through your situation and recommend limits that actually protect you, not just meet the legal minimum. The difference in cost is usually smaller than you’d think, and the protection is worth it.
It depends on the claim, your company, and your history, but yes, most companies will raise your rate after an at-fault accident. Some will raise it even if you’re not at fault, especially if you’ve filed multiple claims in a short period.
Here’s what happens. Insurance companies use claims history to assess risk, and once you file a claim, you’re statistically more likely to file another one. Even if the accident wasn’t your fault, the fact that you were involved signals higher risk to the algorithm. That’s why some drivers see their rates jump 20% to 40% after a single claim, and why others get non-renewed entirely when their policy is up for renewal.
This is where working with an independent agent makes a difference. If your company raises your rate or drops you after a claim, we’re already quoting you with other carriers who might view your history differently. Some companies weigh claims more heavily than others, and some offer accident forgiveness programs that protect you from a rate increase after your first at-fault accident. We know which companies are more forgiving and which ones aren’t, and we use that knowledge to keep you covered without getting gouged. You’re not stuck explaining your situation to a new agent every time. We already know your history, and we’re working on your behalf.
Yes, and bundling is one of the easiest ways to save money on both policies. Most carriers offer a multi-policy discount that ranges from 5% to 25%, depending on the company and your coverage levels.
But here’s the catch: bundling doesn’t always save you money if the company you’re bundling with isn’t competitive on both policies. Sometimes you’ll save more by splitting your auto and home insurance between two different carriers, even without the discount. That’s why we quote it both ways and show you the actual numbers.
We represent carriers that specialize in bundling, and we also work with companies that are just better at auto or just better at home. If bundling saves you money and keeps your coverage strong, we’ll recommend it. If splitting your policies gets you better protection or a lower total cost, we’ll tell you that too. The goal isn’t to sell you a bundle. It’s to make sure you’re covered right and not overpaying for either policy. We run the numbers, explain the difference, and let you decide what makes sense.
If you’re hit by an uninsured driver and you don’t have uninsured motorist coverage, you’re paying for your own medical bills and vehicle repairs out of pocket. You can try to sue the other driver, but if they don’t have insurance, they probably don’t have assets to collect from either.
Arizona doesn’t require uninsured motorist coverage, but with 13% of drivers on the road uninsured, it’s one of the most important coverages you can carry. Uninsured motorist coverage pays for your medical expenses, lost wages, and vehicle damage when the at-fault driver has no insurance. Underinsured motorist coverage does the same thing when the other driver’s liability limits are too low to cover your costs.
The cost to add uninsured motorist coverage is usually between $50 and $150 a year, depending on your limits and your driving history. For what it protects you from, it’s one of the best values in your policy. If you’re hit by someone with no insurance and you’re seriously injured, that coverage is the difference between your bills being paid and you being stuck with tens of thousands of dollars in expenses. We recommend it to every Arizona driver, and we make sure the limits are high enough to actually matter if you need to use it.
