You’re not imagining it. Arizona drivers are paying an average of $300 more this year than last year for the exact same coverage. Some of you got hit even harder after filing a single claim, watching your premium spike or your policy get dropped entirely.
Here’s what changes when you let us quote your coverage. You see what Progressive insurance, GEICO car insurance, USAA insurance, AAA insurance, and 36 other carriers would actually charge you. Same coverage, different price tags. Sometimes the gap is $50 a month. Sometimes it’s $150.
We don’t work for any of those companies. We work for you. That means we’re not trying to sell you on one carrier’s talking points. We’re showing you the numbers, explaining what you’re actually buying, and letting you decide what makes sense for your situation and your budget.
We’re a family-owned independent agency based in Arizona. We’ve been helping drivers across the state, including Theba, compare coverage from over 40 top-rated auto insurance companies. That includes the names you know—Progressive insurance company, direct auto insurance, USAA car insurance—and plenty you probably haven’t heard of yet.
We’re not a call center. When you call, you get one of our licensed agents who picks up the phone, pulls your quote, and walks you through what you’re looking at. No offshore reps reading scripts. No runaround.
We’ve earned over 930 five-star Google reviews because we do what we say we’re going to do. We answer when you call. We explain your options in plain language. And when you need to file a claim, we’re still here.
First, you reach out. Call us, fill out a form, whatever works for you. We’ll ask some basic questions about your vehicles, your driving record, and what kind of coverage you’re carrying now.
Then we run your information through our quoting system. We’re pulling rates from over 40 carriers at once—Progressive, GEICO, direct auto insurance company, USAA, AAA insurance, and dozens more. This takes minutes, not days.
Once we have your quotes, we walk through them with you. We’ll show you where the prices land, explain why some are higher or lower, and point out any coverage gaps in your current policy. You’ll see the difference between liability-only, full coverage, and everything in between. If you want cheap car insurance, we’ll show you the bare minimum Arizona requires. If you want better protection, we’ll show you what that costs too.
When you pick a policy, we handle the paperwork. We’ll even call your old company and cancel that policy for you. No charge for any of this. Our commission comes from the carrier you choose, so our service costs you nothing.

Arizona saw 967 fatal crashes in 2020, up from 811 in 2015. More accidents mean more claims. More claims mean higher rates across the board. Add in auto part shortages, labor costs, and a spike in vehicle thefts, and you’ve got the perfect storm for premium increases.
In Theba and surrounding areas, your rate also depends on how far you drive, where you park overnight, and your claims history. Even your credit score plays a role in most cases. If you’ve been with the same carrier for 15 years and never shopped around, there’s a good chance you’re overpaying.
Here’s what most people don’t know: Arizona law says insurance companies can’t raise your rate for an accident that wasn’t your fault. If your premium went up anyway, they’re required to tell you why. If that didn’t happen, or if the reason doesn’t add up, it’s worth getting a second opinion.
We compare coverage across carriers who are actually competing for your business right now. That includes national names like Progressive insurance and USAA insurance, plus regional carriers who often beat the big guys on price. You’re not locked into one company’s rate structure. You’ve got options.
The average Arizona driver is paying around $1,876 per year as of 2024, but that number doesn’t mean much for your specific situation. Your rate depends on your age, driving record, vehicle type, coverage limits, and deductible.
If you’re in your 30s or 40s with a clean record, you might be paying less than average. If you’re under 25, have a recent ticket, or drive a newer vehicle with a loan that requires full coverage, you’re probably paying more. Theba drivers also deal with rural area considerations—longer commutes can sometimes increase rates, but lower traffic density can help offset that.
The only way to know what you’d actually pay is to get quoted. We can run your information through 40+ carriers and show you the range in about 10 minutes.
It depends entirely on your profile. GEICO might quote you $150 a month while Progressive comes in at $110. Then your neighbor gets the opposite result. There’s no universal “cheapest” carrier because each company weighs risk factors differently.
GEICO tends to be competitive for drivers with clean records and good credit. Progressive insurance often beats them for people with a ticket or accident on their record. But then USAA insurance blows both out of the water if you’re military or a veteran. And sometimes a carrier you’ve never heard of comes in $40 cheaper than all of them.
That’s exactly why we quote multiple companies at once. You’re not guessing which one might be cheaper. You’re seeing the actual numbers side by side, and you’re picking the one that makes sense for your coverage needs and budget.
When you go direct to GEICO car insurance or Progressive insurance company, you get one quote from one company. If their rate isn’t competitive for your profile, you have to start over somewhere else. You’re doing all the comparison work yourself.
When you work with an independent agency like us, you get quotes from 40+ companies in one conversation. We’re contracted with Progressive, GEICO, AAA insurance, USAA, direct auto insurance, and three dozen others. We show you all the options at once, explain the differences, and let you decide.
The other big difference: we’re still here after you buy. If you call GEICO directly and have a question six months later, you’re talking to whoever picks up in their call center. When you’re our client, you call the same agency, talk to the same people, and get answers from someone who actually knows your situation. That matters when you’re filing a claim or making changes to your policy.
Cheap and adequate aren’t opposites, but you need to be clear about what you’re getting. Arizona requires liability coverage—$25,000 per person for injuries, $50,000 per accident, and $15,000 for property damage. That’s the legal minimum, and it’s the cheapest option.
But here’s the problem: if you cause an accident that hurts someone badly, $25,000 doesn’t go very far. Medical bills hit that limit fast. If you own a home or have any assets, you’re exposed. The other driver can come after you personally for anything beyond your policy limits.
The smarter play is finding the lowest rate for coverage that actually protects you. That might mean $100,000 in liability limits instead of $25,000. It might mean adding uninsured motorist coverage since a lot of Arizona drivers are running around with no insurance at all. We’ll show you what bare minimum costs, what better protection costs, and let you decide where you’re comfortable. Sometimes the difference is $15 a month. That’s usually worth it.
Your rate can increase even with a clean record because insurance companies adjust pricing based on their overall claims experience, not just yours. If they paid out more in claims across Arizona last year, they raise rates across the board to cover those losses. It’s not personal, but it still hits your wallet.
Your rate can also go up because of changes to your credit score, a new vehicle, a teenager added to your policy, or even your ZIP code risk profile changing. Some carriers raise rates just because they can—they’re betting most people won’t shop around.
Here’s what you need to know: under Arizona law, they can’t raise your rate for an accident that wasn’t your fault, and they’re required to tell you in writing why your premium increased. If you got a notice that doesn’t make sense, or if you didn’t get one at all, call us. We’ll review what happened and show you what other carriers would charge you right now. You’re not stuck with that increase.
USAA insurance is only available to military members, veterans, and their families, but if you qualify, they’re often hard to beat on price and service. Their rates tend to be lower than most competitors, and their customer satisfaction scores are consistently high. If you’re eligible for USAA car insurance, you should absolutely get a quote from them.
AAA insurance is available to anyone, but you need a AAA membership first. Their rates are competitive for some drivers, especially if you’re older with a clean record. The membership also gets you roadside assistance, which is worth considering if you don’t already have that coverage.
That said, neither one is automatically cheaper for everyone. We’ve seen plenty of situations where a driver assumes USAA or AAA will be their best bet, then a regional carrier we represent comes in $50 a month lower. The only way to know is to compare them all at once. We’ll include both in your quote if you’re eligible, along with 38+ other options.
