You stop wondering if your policy will still be there next year. That’s the reality for too many Arizona business owners right now—renewals that triple overnight, carriers pulling out of the market, or policies cancelled with barely any notice.
When your commercial insurance is set up right, you’re not scrambling every renewal season. You’ve got general liability that covers your operations, workers compensation that keeps you compliant with Arizona law, and commercial auto insurance that protects your vehicles and drivers. If you’re in a professional service, errors and omissions insurance backs you up when a client claims you made a mistake.
The difference is access. With over 100 insurance carriers to pull from, you’re not trapped in a single-company relationship that can end the moment their underwriting changes. You get options when rates shift, and you work with someone local who picks up the phone when you call.
We’re a family-owned independent agency based in Mesa and Peoria, serving businesses across Goodyear and the entire Phoenix metro. We’ve earned over 930 five-star Google reviews and the 2023 Agents of the Year award because we do what a lot of agencies don’t anymore—we actually talk to you.
We’re not a call center. We’re not tied to one carrier. We represent more than 100 A-rated insurance companies, which means we shop your coverage across the market and find what fits your business and your budget.
Goodyear is one of the fastest-growing cities in Arizona, and that growth brings opportunity—but it also brings risk. From monsoon flooding to heat damage to liability exposure as your team expands, you need someone who understands what local businesses face. That’s what we do.
First, we talk. Not a form—an actual conversation about what your business does, what you own, who works for you, and what keeps you up at night. That’s how we figure out what coverage you actually need, whether that’s business liability insurance, commercial property insurance, professional liability, or a combination.
Next, we shop your coverage across our network of over 100 carriers. We’re looking for the right mix of price, coverage, and stability. You’re not getting one quote from one company—you’re getting options.
Once you choose a policy, we handle the paperwork and make sure everything’s in place. If you’ve got an old policy to cancel, we take care of that too at no cost. And when your business changes—new hires, new equipment, new locations—we’re here to adjust your coverage so it keeps up.
Ready to get started?
General liability insurance is usually the starting point—it covers bodily injury, property damage, and lawsuits that come from your day-to-day operations. In Arizona, where over 99% of businesses are small businesses, this is often the first policy owners buy.
If you’ve got employees, workers compensation insurance isn’t optional. Arizona law requires it the moment you hire your first worker, whether they’re full-time or part-time. It covers medical bills and lost wages if someone gets hurt on the job.
Commercial auto insurance is mandatory if you use vehicles for business. Arizona requires minimum limits of $25,000 per person, $50,000 per accident, and $15,000 for property damage. If your team drives for work, this protects you and them.
For service-based businesses—consultants, accountants, real estate agents, contractors—errors and omissions insurance (also called E&O or professional liability insurance) covers you if a client claims your advice or work caused them financial harm. And if you own a building, equipment, or inventory, commercial property insurance protects it from fire, theft, storm damage, and the extreme weather Arizona throws at us.
Most small businesses in Goodyear pay between $400 and $1,200 a year for general liability insurance, though your actual cost depends on your industry, revenue, and claims history. A photographer working from home will pay less than an HVAC contractor with a crew and multiple trucks.
If you add workers compensation, expect to pay based on payroll and risk level—office jobs cost less to insure than construction trades. Commercial auto insurance depends on how many vehicles you have, who drives them, and what they’re used for. The best way to know what you’ll pay is to get a real quote based on your specific business.
The bigger question isn’t what it costs—it’s whether you’re getting the right coverage at a fair price. That’s why working with an independent agency matters. We can show you what multiple carriers would charge for the same coverage, so you’re not stuck guessing if you’re overpaying.
A Business Owner’s Policy (BOP) bundles general liability, commercial property insurance, and business interruption coverage into one package. It’s designed for small to medium-sized businesses that don’t have unusual risks. You typically pay less for a BOP than you would buying each policy separately.
The trade-off is flexibility. A BOP works great if your business fits the mold—retail shops, offices, small service businesses. But if you need higher limits, specialized coverage, or you’re in a high-risk industry, you might be better off building a custom package.
We help you figure out which route makes sense. Sometimes a BOP is the smartest move. Other times, you need the control that comes from selecting each piece of coverage individually. Either way, you’re not locked into one option just because it’s easier for the insurance company.
Yes. Arizona law is clear—if you have even one employee, you need workers compensation insurance. It doesn’t matter if they’re part-time, seasonal, or family. The only exceptions are sole proprietors with no employees, some real estate agents, and a few other specific cases.
The reason is simple: if someone gets hurt on the job and you don’t have coverage, you’re personally liable for their medical bills, lost wages, and potential lawsuit. In a state where extreme heat and physical labor are common, that risk is real.
Beyond the legal requirement, workers comp protects you. It covers your employee’s medical care and replaces part of their income while they recover. And it prevents them from suing you for the injury. For most businesses, the cost is manageable—especially compared to the financial hit of an uninsured workplace injury.
You’re not imagining it. Arizona business owners have seen premiums jump significantly over the past few years, and there are a few reasons why. Carriers are pulling back or leaving the state entirely, which means less competition and higher prices. Extreme weather—wildfires, flooding, heat damage—has increased claims. And inflation has driven up the cost of repairs, medical care, and legal settlements.
When a major carrier exits the market, the businesses they drop have to find new coverage fast, and that usually means paying more. Some Arizona businesses have seen premiums double or triple at renewal with no claims and no changes to their operations.
That’s exactly why working with an independent agency matters right now. We’re not tied to one carrier, so when your rate spikes, we can move your coverage to a different company. You’re not stuck. And because we represent over 100 carriers, we’ve got options even in a tight market.
If your carrier cancels your policy before it expires, they have to give you notice—usually 10 to 30 days depending on the reason. Non-payment gets the shortest notice. If they’re cancelling for underwriting reasons or leaving the Arizona market, you’ll typically get more time.
The moment you get that notice, call us. We’ll start shopping your coverage immediately so there’s no gap. A lapse in commercial insurance can trigger penalties, put your business license at risk, and leave you personally exposed if something happens during that gap.
This is happening more often in Arizona as carriers tighten underwriting or exit entirely. The good news is that independent agencies like ours can move quickly. We already know the market, we have relationships with dozens of carriers, and we can get you quotes fast. You don’t have to figure this out on your own or settle for the first policy you find.
Yes, and you probably need it more than you think. Your homeowners policy doesn’t cover business activities, business equipment, or liability that comes from your work. If a client trips on your front step during a meeting, or if your laptop full of client data gets stolen, your home policy won’t help.
For home-based businesses, we usually start with a business owner’s policy or an in-home business endorsement, depending on what you do and how much coverage you need. If clients come to your home, general liability is essential. If you’ve got expensive equipment—cameras, tools, computers—you’ll want commercial property coverage.
Professional liability or E&O insurance is critical if you give advice or provide services where a mistake could cost a client money. And if you’ve got employees working from your home, even part-time, you’ll need workers compensation. We’ll walk through what you actually need based on how your business operates, not just sell you a package.
