You’re not thinking about your insurance policy when everything’s running smoothly. You’re thinking about it when a customer trips in your lobby, when an employee gets hurt on the job, or when your rates jump 50% at renewal and nobody picks up the phone to explain why.
Here’s what changes when your commercial insurance is set up right. You get certificates of insurance processed same-day when a client needs proof of coverage. You have someone local who picks up when you call, not an offshore center reading from a script. Your workers compensation insurance actually covers what you need without gaps that show up only when you file a claim.
When Arizona’s insurance market gets volatile—and it has, with rates climbing over 60% in recent years—you’re not stuck with one carrier’s decision. You’ve got access to over 100 insurance companies, which means options when your current provider decides to pull out of Arizona or hike your premium without explanation.
We’ve been based in Arizona since 2015, and we’re in the office—not working remotely, not routing calls overseas. You’ll talk to the same agents who understand what’s happening in Peoria’s business landscape, from the commercial growth near Loop 101 to the insurance challenges facing Arizona small businesses right now.
We represent over 100 carriers because that’s how you get real options when the market shifts. We’ve earned 930+ five-star Google reviews and recognition as Agents of the Year in 2023 because we do the work: comparing coverage, processing paperwork quickly, and actually answering the phone.
You’re not locked into one company’s rates or appetite. That matters more than ever in Arizona, where carriers have been dropping policies and raising premiums across the board.
First, we talk about what your business actually does and what risks you’re facing. Not a generic questionnaire—a real conversation about your operations, your employees, your vehicles, your property. That’s how we figure out whether you need general liability, commercial auto insurance, professional liability insurance, or a combination.
Then we shop your coverage across our carrier network. We’re looking at pricing, but also at which companies are stable in Arizona right now and which ones have a track record of actually paying claims without a fight. You get options with real numbers, not vague estimates.
Once you choose coverage, we handle the paperwork and cancellation of your old policy if you’re switching. When you need certificates of insurance for a client or contract, we process those same-day. And when something changes—you hire more people, buy new equipment, add a vehicle—you call us directly and we adjust your coverage. No phone tree, no ticket system.

General liability insurance covers the basics: customer injuries, property damage claims, advertising injury. In Arizona, where slip-and-fall claims and heat-related incidents are common, this is foundational coverage for any business interacting with the public.
Commercial auto insurance is required by Arizona state law for any vehicle titled to your business. This isn’t personal auto with a business rider—it’s actual commercial coverage that protects you when employees are driving for work purposes. Peoria businesses often pay less than Phoenix metro rates due to lower accident frequency, but you still need proper limits.
Workers compensation insurance is mandatory in Arizona if you have employees. With over 79,500 workplace injuries reported in the state in 2022, this isn’t optional coverage. It pays medical costs and lost wages when someone gets hurt on the job, and it protects you from lawsuits.
Professional liability insurance—also called errors and omissions insurance or E&O insurance—covers mistakes in your professional services. If you’re a consultant, contractor, or service provider, this protects you when a client claims your work caused them financial harm. Commercial property insurance covers your building, equipment, and inventory against fire, theft, and damage. And if you’re in a trade, you might need specialized trade insurance that addresses your industry’s specific risks.
Average costs in Arizona run about $42 per month for general liability, $46 per month for workers comp, and $71 per month for professional liability. But those are statewide averages—your actual cost depends on your industry, revenue, number of employees, claims history, and coverage limits.
A landscaping company with five employees and multiple vehicles will pay more than a solo consultant working from home. A contractor with a clean record pays less than one with previous claims. Peoria businesses often see slightly lower rates than Phoenix or Scottsdale due to reduced risk factors, but your specific quote depends on your specific situation.
That’s why we shop your coverage across 100+ carriers. One company might quote you $200 per month while another quotes $120 for similar coverage. The difference isn’t always quality—it’s appetite and underwriting. We find which carriers want your type of business right now.
You’re not alone—Arizona carriers have been narrowing their focus and dropping policies across the state. When you get a non-renewal notice, you typically have 30 to 60 days to find replacement coverage before your policy expires.
Start shopping immediately. Don’t wait until the last week, because underwriting takes time and you don’t want a coverage gap. Bring your current declarations page, loss history, and business details. We’ll need to know why you were non-renewed—some reasons affect your options more than others.
We work with over 100 carriers specifically because some will write policies that others won’t. If you were dropped due to claims, we look for carriers with higher risk tolerance. If it was a business decision by the carrier, we find companies actively writing new business in Arizona. We also handle canceling your old policy once new coverage is bound, so you’re not paying double.
Yes. Arizona law requires workers compensation coverage as soon as you have employees. There’s no minimum threshold—one employee means you need coverage. The only exception is for sole proprietors with no employees, certain corporate officers, and a few specific industry exemptions.
If you’re caught operating without required workers comp, you face penalties from the Industrial Commission of Arizona, and you’re personally liable for any workplace injuries. That means an injured employee can sue you directly, and your business assets and personal assets could be at risk.
The cost isn’t as high as most business owners fear. For low-risk office work, you might pay $400 to $800 annually per employee. For higher-risk trades, it’s more—but it’s still cheaper than one uninsured workplace injury. We get quotes from multiple carriers because workers comp pricing varies significantly based on your industry classification codes and each carrier’s appetite for your type of work.
Commercial auto insurance covers vehicles titled to your business—your work trucks, vans, company cars. It pays for accidents, damage, theft, and liability when someone is driving a business vehicle. Arizona requires this for any business-owned vehicle, and it’s separate from your personal auto policy.
Business liability insurance (general liability) covers your business operations—customer injuries, property damage you cause, advertising claims. If a client trips at your office or you accidentally damage their property while working, general liability responds. It doesn’t cover your vehicles.
You likely need both. If you drive a company truck to job sites, you need commercial auto for the vehicle and general liability for the work you do when you get there. If a customer’s property is damaged in an accident while you’re driving, commercial auto covers the vehicle damage and general liability might cover the property damage, depending on the situation.
Some business owners try to save money by using personal auto insurance with a business rider, but that leaves major gaps. Personal policies exclude commercial use, and when you file a claim, you might find out you’re not actually covered.
We process certificates of insurance same-day when you have active coverage with us. Most clients need these for contracts, building access, or vendor requirements—and they usually need them quickly.
A certificate of insurance is a one-page document proving you have coverage. It shows your policy numbers, coverage types, limits, and effective dates. It also lists the certificate holder (whoever required proof of insurance) and can add them as an additional insured if your policy allows it.
You can’t get a certificate until your policy is bound and active. If you’re shopping for new coverage, we can typically bind a policy within 24 to 48 hours once underwriting approves it, then issue certificates immediately. If you already have coverage with us, we issue certificates the same day you request them—usually within a few hours.
Keep in mind that some contracts require specific coverage limits or additional insured status. Send us the insurance requirements before we quote your policy so we can make sure your coverage meets their specifications. Otherwise you might buy a policy, request a certificate, and find out your limits are too low.
Independent agents represent multiple insurance companies—we work with over 100 carriers. Captive agents work for one company and can only sell that company’s products. Going direct to an insurance company means you’re limited to their rates and their appetite.
Here’s why that matters in Arizona’s current market. If your carrier raises rates 40% at renewal or decides to stop writing your type of business, a captive agent can’t help you—they only have one option. When you work with an independent agency, we move your coverage to a different carrier without you having to start over with a new agent.
You’re also not paying extra for this. Insurance companies pay agents the same commission whether you buy through an agent or directly from the company. The difference is service and options. When you call us, you talk to someone local who knows your account. When you call a 1-800 number, you get whoever answers next.
The downside is that independent agents vary in quality. Some shop one or two carriers and call themselves independent. We actually use our carrier access—and we’ve been doing this in Arizona since 2015, so we know which companies are reliable and which ones create problems at claim time.
